It is recommended to remove intake manifold swirl flaps from your M57 engine and replace them with aluminum plugs if this hasn’t been done yet.

For M57 engines, BMW used two different swirl flap diameters – 22mm or 33mm. For some BMW models, the diameter may vary based on emission standard (Euro 3/4), so please carefully review the fitment information below before placing your order.

11. What are wheel spacers used for?

Wheel spacers are easily attachable plates on the wheel hub designed to increase the wheel offset, providing the car with a sportier and more dynamic appearance. They help visually reduce the 'tucked-in' wheel effect into the fender arch.

12. How to know what thickness wheel spacers I need?

This is a matter of personal preference, but when choosing, it's important to ensure that the wheel spacers are not too thick (the wheel offset is not too large), as this could lead to the tire rubbing against the fender. Typically (especially if the wheels are original), you might want to use slightly thicker spacers for the rear than for the front (e.g. 15 mm for the front and 20 mm for the rear). If you are not sure what size wheel spacers to choose, you can send us photos of your car. We will help you make a decision.

13. What is an exhaust downpipe?

A performance downpipe guides exhaust gases out with minimal resistance, reducing backpressure and helping the engine 'breathe' easier. This results in more horsepower and torque, making it a popular choice for car enthusiasts looking to improve overall performance and enhance their vehicle's sound.

14. What is a performance intercooler?

A performance intercooler goes the extra mile for your car's performance by drastically lowering the intake air-charge temperature. Thanks to its expanded cooling area and advanced bar and plate construction, it efficiently cools compressed air, enhancing its density for improved combustion before entering the engine. The result? Improved combustion, higher horsepower, and better overall engine efficiency. Enthusiasts often choose this upgrade to elevate engine performance and responsiveness in turbocharged or supercharged systems.
